Guide To Seville AirportThe airport in Seville is located only a few minutes (10 km) from the centre of the city, in the southwest of Spain. Its origin dates back to 1914 when it has was used as the location for air shows. In 1989 the current terminal was opened. Since then Seville's airport has become one of the most important ones in Andalucia, with over three million passengers using the airport in 2005. There are car hire companies, cafes, boutiques and shops situated within the terminals and departure area.
There are 42 check in desks and 8 boarding gates, which can be found in the two storey terminal building, and deal with the large number of clients who come to Seville for business and leisure trips. Many of them take advantage of the car hire desks that can be found within the airport. Arrivals are at the P0 level and departures on the P1 level.
The Aeana and Iberia VIP lounges (located on the P1 level) provide their own information points, telecommunication facilities and cafeteria in which airline passengers can relax and read the daily complimentary newspapers. A meeting room for up to 140 people on the P0 level, ATM's, a pharmacy, duty free shops and two public parking areas with parking spaces for those with special needs, are located in front of the airport are also available.
