Guide To Bilbao AirportLocated in the municipality of Loiu, the airport of Bilbao served 3,843,253 passengers and operated over 56,000 flights in 2005. 74.2 percent of the traffic is domestic and only 25.8 percent is international.
The terminal building which is divided into three levels: P0, P1 and P2. On the P0 level you will find several car hire desks, a medical service, information booths, baggage reclaim and a café. Level P1 is the arrivals hall and provides a restaurant and a VIP lounge (Iberia).
Level P2 is used for departures with 36 check-in desks. It has a 300 metre long panoramic window which offers views of the terminal and aeroplanes. It also has restaurants, cafes, numerous shops and boutiques (including duty free outlets), a bank, ATM's, information desks, postal services, travel agencies, tourist offices and another VIP lounge (Spainair).
After arriving at Bilbao Airport you can walk out of the main terminal to get to the taxi ranks or the bus stops, or you can go to the ground floor to find one of the four main car hire companies that are located there.
Conference facilities are provided by the airport and have to be booked in advance. There are also facilities for disabled passengers such as special parking areas, fitted toilets, lifts and ramps. Should you have any special needs, please inform your airline when booking your flight.
