Tenerife North Airport
Getting To Tenerife North AirportTenerife North Airport is in a perfect location to get to all points north of the island within a half hour drive. The majority of non-Spanish visitors fly into the airport in the south, but Tenerife North Airport is still quite busy and in 2005 handled 3,7 million passengers and operated over 60.000 flights.
If you are coming from the UK, then the only airport which offers regular flights to Tenerife is London Gatwick. Once you have arrived on the island you can easily get to your villa, hotel or apartment by taking advantage of the car rental agencies within the arrivals hall. At the car rental desks you can also get a map of Tenerife and further information on how to get to your destination.
Additional to the car rental companies you can also take a taxi (a taxi rank is located directly outside the terminal) or one of the airport buses that run regularly and take you to the south of the island or the close by cities of La Laguna, Santa Cruz de Tenerife or Puerto de la Cruz.
A train service is not available at the airport.
