Getting To Lanzarote AirportThe airport at Lanzarote is only five kilometres from Arrecife which is the Island's capital. Access is via the LZ-2 road taking exit 4. The approximate driving times to the most popular resorts on the island are 20 minutes to Puerto del Marmen, 15 minutes to Costa Teguise, 45 minutes to Playa Blanca and 10 minutes to Arrecife.
Because Lanzarote is such a beautiful island it is advisable to arrange car rental to get to the places off the beaten track. There are several car rental companies based at the airport who will take an advance booking and have a car awaiting your arrival.
There is a bus stop immediately outside the arrivals hall. The line 04 connects the airport to Arrecife although the timetable can sometimes be a bit irregular. There is also a taxi rank here.
