Jerez Airport
Getting To Jerez AirportJerez International Airport can be found only a few kilometres from the city itself, in the heart of the Costa de la Luz. The airport has an increasing passenger rate (from 411,276 in 1996 to 1,296,934 in 2005) and is therefore becoming one of the most important airports in the area with all the facilities and services one would expect, including car rentals, shops, restaurants and much more.
Most of the flights operated by Jerez airport are from Madrid, Barcelona and London Stansted (twice a day during peak season with Ryanair). Of course there are numerous other airports working with Jerez, including Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Ireland, France and other countries.
Unfortunately there are no trains at the airport, but you can rent a car from one of the four car rental agencies. Connections to the centre of Jerez are excellent, thanks to the A4 motorway. Even if you do not know the area and opt for the car rental option, you should not take longer than 15 minutes before arriving in the city.
Other ways of getting wherever you want to go are to take an Airport Taxi which will cost approximately € 15 to Jerez centre and € 45 to Cadiz; or to take advantage of the Airport Bus Service. You can choose between three destinations: Jerez centre, Santa Maria and Cadiz with prices ranging between € 0.85 and € 2.60 per person.
