Getting To Ibiza AirportIbiza is located on the Mediterranean to the southwest of Majorca. The airport operates flights from Europe and beyond and because the island is so small it is very easy to get to all of Ibiza’s tourist areas and the more tranquil parts of the island.
One way of getting to your destination is to use the airport buses or taxis that are located outside the terminal. Buses run every half hour from twenty past seven in the morning until ten to eleven at night. A taxi rank can be found outside the terminal and a fare will cost approximately 9 €, depending where you want to go and when. There are two taxis available for passengers with special needs but it is advisable to book them in advance to avoid waiting time.
A ferry takes you to the neighbouring island of Formentera. For prices and schedules please ask the staff at the information centre at the arrivals hall, where you can also find several car rental desks.
Car rental is definitely worth a thought, especially if you are on the island not just to enjoy the warm climate and beaches, but if you are interested in Ibiza itself with its traditional towns and natural surroundings.
