Cordoba Airport
Getting To Cordoba AirportThe Pajas Blancas airport in Cordoba is a third category airport which means that there are no scheduled flights, and that in the summer months it handles charter passenger flights most of the time. It is also used for military flights, flying courses, agricultural treatment companies, aerial photography, parachuting schools and by the transplant centre at the hospital.
Most of the leisure and business travellers come from the Netherlands, Germany and the UK. Due to the fact that there is no passport clearance or customs, the airport is only allowed to receive flights from Schengen or EU countries.
The airport is only 6 km from the city of Cordoba. Car rental desks are located within the terminal, taxis can be found outside it, buses run regular intervals and a railway station connects the airport with the centre of Cordoba, Madrid and Seville.
If you have decided to opt for car rental than you will soon realise that the road connections to the city are excellent. If you follow the N 437 it will take you directly to Cordoba.
