After arriving you will have to decide if you want to rent a car or not. The former is definitely recommended because it is much easier for you to discover the area and nearby towns and cities such as Lebrija, Carmona and Cadiz.
Renting a car in advance is also possible and during peak season definitely advisable. To get to the centre of the historical city does not take much longer than 20 to 25 minutes. The charming town of Jerez is also only about one hour away and is worth a visit.
Even if you decide not to rent a car at the airport, you can do so later. Many of the region's points of interest are within easy reach with the Costa del Sol, Sierra Nevada and the town of Faro in Portugal being only some of them.
