Exploring Murcia AirportBecause it occupies such an excellent position on the eastern coast of Spain offering quick and easy access to the many resorts there. Murcia-San Javier is currently undergoing further expansion to cope with its new found popularity. Because everything is still in the development stage, it is prudent to arrange car hire before you set off on your journey as this is the best way to get around and give you the freedom to explore the area.
Parking at the airport is free in the car park located directly opposite the main terminal building. There is space here for 177 cars, 98 rent a cars and 8 buses and coaches
The two shops in the terminal building, Merlia and Rocio, sell duty free goods and gifts. The Casa Tomas Restaurant and cafeteria are close to the children's play area.
Murcia-San Javier offers disabled access but there is no lift facility on the aircraft for wheelchair passengers. There are two disabled toilets in the public area of the airport and reserved parking section of the car park.
